students broke into a faculty meeting about the Chicago Statement screaming “free speech harms”

The author is realizing what many of us have known for years, viz. American education's mission is to produce good little Nazis.

Science — just like reality — always wins ... it may be shouted down by the perpetually offended, woefully ignorant Left ... but that’s only temporary.

A new dark age is coming. The woke POS will undoubtedly burn the ‘Alexandria Library’ once again.

It won't be hard to do now that so much of what we have amassed it online in some form. Send out massive viruses onto all major platforms, then shut down the internet. Done.

I was appalled with the New York Library did away with its card catalog in order to put everything online. They scanned all the fronts of the cards and ignored the backs. Many of the cards had notes penciled on them made by scholars over a century or more.

Twenty-five years ago, a major Ivy university I am familiar with demanded a student ID number to gain entrance to campus buildings and to use the extensive university library system and databases. And what was the ID number? That's right: it was the student's Social Security number. Imagine the mess that was created. In spite of all the good it does, the internet remains a massive threat to individuals.

It may dumb down the sciences so much that they won’t be able to create Skynet or replace us all with cyborgs or genetic freaks.
_______

That’s an interesting thought.

Perhaps the incompetency has already manifested. For example, the gene therapy injections that vary considerably in contents. Or the plethora of laws, rules and regulations on energy & transport that are set 5 years in the future and forever extended outward because the goals are impossible to meet IRL.

Another thing working against their agenda is this marginalization of white men. This is the very cohort that used to innovate, maintain and oversee the machines and processes that are required for a technocracy.

In many of the “sciences”, everything is still as fubar as it was during the Phrenology and “science of the blood” (the powerful were powerful because of proper blood, the poor were poor because of bad blood, and it should never mix) era.

Not even close. Everything in politics, however, is as FUBAR as it was during any other time of ascendancy of the single party state.

In the “soft” sciences, everything is agenda or ideology driven.
