There is a new cable news ratings champion.
Nielsen data for 2022 rank the Fox News round table program “The Five” as the most watched show in cable news with an average of 3.5 million viewers.
The figure tops “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” which averaged 3.3 million viewers for the year. The figure for the Fox News prime-time show is up 3% over 2021 when it was the most watched program for the year.
But “The Five” grew more, up 17% over 2021. The program, which airs live at 5 p.m. Eastern and 2 p.m. Pacific, is also the first cable news show outside of prime time to finish the year on top.
The only non-sports cable program with a larger audience than “The Five” is Paramount Network’s hit drama “Yellowstone.”

And even more recently, Tucker Carlson lost about 500,000 viewers each night since September because of his incessant Putin puffing.
“The Five”? Shouldn’t it be called “The Four and a Simpleton”?

Jessica Tarlov makes it very difficult to watch The Five. Pure stupidity with a grating voice.
I’ve never even watched The Five... looks like a lot of people do. I’m not a big fan of gab shows.
Tucker is #2 and falling. Lost half a million viewers since Sept. So much winning .
#1 in Primetime.. and will remain so most likely... I don’t know why you care, most of the people with your viewpoint are on MSNBC and CNN.
I watch “The Five,” often when making my mom’s evening gruel. It is entertaining at times.
Tucker was # 1 in 2021.
Tucker is now #2 in 2022 and The Five is #1.
And Tucker’s ratings continue to drop and he is on track to fall to #3 in 2023 behind Jesse Watters.
The FIVE is a funny entertainment show that shares the same news FOX talks about all day long but gets the 5 participants to make funny comments on the news. Tucker on the other hand is a much more serious news commentary show. They are apples and oranges, both are perhaps best two weekly programs on FOX.
Jesse Watters will be #1 in Prime Time in 2023.
Carlson never tells us anything we don’t already know.

I happened to catch the 5 immediately after the mid terms and they all spouting the FNC BS narrative that it was “the positive DeSantis message” that was the reason the red wave in FLA when we all know it was him locking down the cheating but that truth is not allowed on FNC and every girl followed the script.

My parents have it on when I visit them and I find the five entertaining for about five minutes after that it becomes a bit annoying .
What could he possibly tell you that you don't already know?
