US households are once again able to order free at-home Covid-19 tests, as the government attempts to limit the spread of the virus this winter.
The White House said up to four rapid tests could be ordered from the government website CovidTests.gov.
It announced that the test programme, which was paused in September, would be restarted on Thursday....

If by "disproportionate" you are simply asking whether more people in the U.S. died in 2020 and/or 2021 than would have otherwise been expected, compared to prior years, the answer is most decidedly yes.
Compared to a pre-pandemic baseline derived from the average all cause mortality of the years 2017, 2018, and 2019, the percentage of "expected death" for 2020 was 119%. For 2021, the percentage of "expected death" in the U.S. was 122%.
Again, these are deaths from all causes, not merely deaths involving COVID.
