Will it help?
Probably not - but its another $1 billion for Raytheon
Two words. Iron Dome.
Go have a look in the Wiki for what Israel thought of Patriot.
“Probably not-”
The SS Scud one was first deployed by the Soviets in the mid-1960s. The missile was originally designed to carry a 100-kiloton nuclear warhead or a 2,000 pound conventional warhead, with ranges from 100 to 180 miles. Its principal threat was its warhead potential to hold chemical or biological agents.
The missile is accurate to about 3 CEP (circular error of probability). But if they use an airburst, it can scatter deployed products to like chemical weapons it would cover an area of about 0.01 to 0.03 km2 in which unprotected people would die; if the attack occurred during unfavorable weather conditions, the lethal area would increase to 0.2 to 0.3 km2. And bio and nuclear would be worse.

Will it help? Depends on how pissed off the Russians get.
