That is so ridiculous. It is not one day for us. We choose to have it one day for us but I think we should change and start mailing ballots back. It’s the only way we’re gonna win again many inGeorgia stayed home instead of voting so stupid.

Florida still uses RCV-enabled voting machines, still uses mail-in and early voting, still has a type of ballot harvesting...

Why hasn’t DeSantis secured Florida’s elections?

Conservatives that have not been on Twitter may not understand this. Christina Pushaw has been simply amazing. Her smart, no-holds barred tweets in support of conservative causes in Florida were the stuff that most FReepers would cheering out loud. Those saying she is too close to the bushies? LOL. She despises the timid wing of the GOP.

Check some say he’s doing the slow walk he was in the house of reps from 2013 to 2018 before he took the Florida gig.

DeSantis will have a much easier time as he has the support of the Bush wing.

If he has the support of the Bush wing that's not exactly comforting news.

The America of 2024 will be very different from the America of 2016.

*************

Just like it was much different from the time Columbus sailed
the ocean blue. Different rules, rulers, ethnicity, religions, etc.
Look at the changes in the USA in the last 250 years or so. The
world is ever changing and much more rapid than in the past.
Enjoy your short span on earth as much as you can.

Personally, I urge folk to not allow themselves to be divided into Trump vs. DeSantis camps. I think DeSantis is fine where he is, showing other governors how it should be done. He’s young enough that ‘24 isn’t a drop-dead date for him. If we work together, we might actually accomplish something.

The analysis misses the role of volunteers. Some want affirmative action. Their candidate desrves to win without earning it, without his supporters working for it.

Consevatives win when they shift from spectator to player in the game. We need to actively evangelize, convert.

20% gap between R Kemp and R Walker. That 20% is a start.
In my Chicago burb 15% were solid R. 13% solid D. 72% swing voters. Alan Keyes type pastor’s wife made the diff 87%.
I came to Ga, the same. East Atlanta voted heavily D in 2016 and a few moths late heavily for the candidae for mayor who was Rpublican. OK, she was Chamber of Commerce R. That is not the point. The point is that few voters are hard R or hardb D. Most voters are independents who lean one way or the other.
They can be convinced to go either way depending on

Re: Trump vs. DeSantis camps

Thanks for your thoughtful response, zeugma.

Among the most important reasons for a peaceful GOP coalition is that Trump was the only 2020 Republican who knew how to win a majority in the Electoral College.

Numerically, the Political Left has more legal voters than the GOP and Conservatives.

In the last eight Presidential elections, George W. Bush is the only Republican who won a majority of the Popular Vote, and Bush barely squeaked by with 50.7%.

If the 2024 GOP nominee cannot recover Georgia and Arizona and win at least one state from the group of WI, MI, and PA, there is no point in even nominating someone.

Q: How does The Hill know about the inner working of the Desantis team?
A: The same as they knew about the inner workings of the Trump team.
The DNC has infiltrators on his team or will very soon.
