roccoli and raspberries could give you COVID, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned.
Health experts revealed the virus that causes Covid-19 can live on some ready-to-eat groceries for days.
The tests were carried out for the FSA in a laboratory and found coronavirus lived longer on foods with uneven surfaces, such as broccoli and raspberries.
This was in comparison to smooth-skinned produce such as apples.
But the scientists have advised the risk to consumers remains very low.
Laboratory tests saw the SARS-CoV-2 virus smeared on packaging and food, including fruit and bottled drinks, that people might put in their mouth without cooking or washing.

I didn’t know broccoli was a popular food.
I used to hate it, now I like it.
Is it JUST LIVING on broccoli and raspberries??
Very popular.

Very popular.

I still don't eat broccoli.
But I used to not eat broccoli too.

I hate raspberries
Meanwhile, masks are still fomites, aren’t they...
I’ve been eating at least 1 serving of raw broccoli every day for the last three years, and I’ve never had COVID.
“..Trust the science!...”
Yeah...right.
Whatever these murderous azzholes are saying, the opposite is most likely true.
oh noes- not the sniffles for a few days-! Quick liberals, booster up lol
But eating more broccoli and raspberries can also fight covid.
So figure out what you’re going to do.
Hit damn, not I can tell my wife it is poisonous ( I always thought it was! )
Covid survives saliva?
Stomach acid?
Would you need tp snort it first, or just rub your hands all over the food and then touch your face?? Pretty sure if you just shove it in your face, chew ands swallow, your gut will take care of the rest. Now we will have to listen to the stories of dummies washing their raspberries and broccoli in bleach or suds. m)
Husband loved this - headline, anyway.
This is basically saying friction-high surfaces can carry the virus, and friction-low are too slippery to hold it.
Not too shocking, I think.
But, this is MORE FEAR PORN to hopefully send us down tyrannical paths again!
No. High-friction surfaces.
So, meats would be great, but I think they ignore that because they assume they’ll be cooked out.
Every July I go into the woods to pick raspberries, even during the so called pandemic. I had my case of the ChiCom virus in March 2021. So obviously, I didn’t get Covid from eating raspberries.
