When this came out, I was a car valet at a prominent country club. It wasn’t long before some guests would tip me and say “Here, put on some weight!”
Golf clubs are slowly moving away from tipping. They come to find out that the service dips (of course).
If I’m running a golf club or a restaurant, I want the guy who will bust his ass at $10/hr. + tips. Not the $20/hr. clock milker who won’t get off his ass to help a member or a customer.
You get at the right club/restaurant, doing the right job and the weekly pay is almost an afterthought.
