It says an 8 hour timer. It goes off after 8 hours? It can run for as long as 8 hours? Or is it a timer than you can use to shut it off after 8 hours?

Otherwise, it will run continuously to maintain a particular temperature?

It seems the Lasko fan does shut off after some period of time. More than 8 hrs though.
