Demise of Biden’s student loan handout rocks Twitter: ‘Its only purpose was to buy votes’

On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman ruled that Biden’s executive action was unconstitutional because Congress didn’t approve the sweeping plan. In fact, the judge claimed it was one of the largest executive branch overreaches in the "history of the United States."

The handout, announced by Biden in August, was intended to provide upwards of $20,000 of student debt relief to borrowers making under $125,000 a year. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the plan would have cost American taxpayers over $400 billion.

The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis wrote, "Doesn’t matter to Biden. Its only purpose was to buy votes for last Tuesday."

American Greatness senior Fellow Ned Ryun tweeted, "Fascinating. Motivated under 30s to come out and vote and in the end, Biden got what he wanted and they got played for fools."

Spending bills must originate in the Congressional House of Representatives.

The House holds the purse strings.

Was Biden’s action valid under the U.S. Constitution?

Not the hardest question an Article III judge has ever had to answer.

...Xiden delivered on getting some of the votes needed with no political cost.

His puppet masters will prop him up in front of the telprompter and scroll his speech - this is a difference in legal interpretation and a bad judge who ruled against them is on the wrong side of the law. But “by golly”, Xiden will continue to fight for that “poor college student” [who is supposed to be smarter and making more than the non-college graduate according to all the pro-college media for the past few decades].

What I find even more interesting is that since Trump, the tax forms for wage earners have gotten shorter / simpler, yet it takes months to a year to get a refund. Yet, Xiden’s student bribe program was up and running quickly, 1st time with no reported system issues, and they bragged how many millions of suffering graduates’ applications were received. Just in time for the election.

Yup..

After having promised the yutes -how many years ago?..

Just DAYS before the election, bingo-bango- CHECKS arrive!!!

_________ and then….

Just HOURS AFTER the election it’s - “ummm, no. We’ll need those checks returned…”

I hope the young socialist skulls full of mush have learned lesson #1 when it comes to our government.

I do not think that the checks ever arrived. The Democrats were smart enough to have people apply for getting the checks before the election just in case their unconstitutional would be declared unconstitutional. Dems will believe that Republicans, not the Constitution, kept them from getting the money.

This reminds me of what Biden did about vaccine mandates in the fall of 2021. He said there would be a requirement for any company with more than 100 employees who had any government contracts to have all of their employees vaccinated by January 2022. This was probably also unconstitutional but it got many companies to mandate the “vaccine” in preparation for the deadline. Some companies backed off when the federal requirement was no longer there but some companies kept the mandates.

There is no evil that is too awful for Dems to do just to maintain power.

every once in awhile a judge does something correct

wish it had come down before election day!

it was so OBVIOUSLY an illegal vote-buying ploy

the corruptoids used to use more of their own money, though
nowadays the DemoNaxiCommies like to use OUR tax money

can’t say I blame them, especially since nobody lifts a finger to stop them, election after election

If I understand, the Judge ruled that Congress needs to enact such a law. If the Rats get to 218 in the house consider it done.
