BTW, “Porky Pig” Prigozhin (latest top Russian commander) said that he wanted Russian units to dig in engineer style on the east (south) side of the River. They’ll still be sitting ducks, but I suspect that the Russians have another nasty plan for artillery bombardment on civilian targets.

We’ll see how that works out. I’m guessing that the more time Russians buy for their plans in that region, the worse it’ll be for them. Time will be on the side of the Ukrainians there (only my guess).

I agree that time is against Russians. They go up against the combined might of US and EU industrial machine. Their industry cannot even match a fraction of it. In WW2, that industrial machine was on the side of Soviet Union. Now it is on the side of Russia's enemy in this war. I am not sure whether they realize the gravity of this situation. Perhaps by now. If this war drags on with little letup in its intensity, Russia is in deep trouble.

As for Prigozhin, he and Kadyrov could destroy Putin's regime from inside leading to the defeat of Russia in Ukraine. Proclaiming to form his own military force as a replacement of regular Russian military is really a dangerous move. As discredited as regular Russian military is, I am not sure they will sit around and watch Prigozhin’s troops displace them.
