Probably. My first computing experience was on a PDP-11. Worked a lot with VAX computers starting with the 780 up through the 6000s and 8000s. My favorite programming language back then was VAX MACRO-32 Assembly language. You could do a polynomial equation with one instruction!

My first job at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas during 1982. Cut my teeth on a Vax/VMS 750. Then 780, and I think 8000. Migrated years later to Ultrix (Dec flavor of Unix).

Horrible shame how that company was run into the ground. by Compaq and HP. Great pioneers.
