The goal of the assassinated king, and of his brother who inherits the throne, is the reunification of South and North Korea. The force against them is a weapons conglomerate, Club M, with people in power all over the world. While the new king's North Korean fiancee is a physical force to be reckoned with, the king uses moral coercion, trusting that he can appear again and again in North Korea and dare them to kill a king.

I really enjoy that the king in this show mostly stands around letting other people protect him, while his fiancee kicks butt. I thought, at first, there wasn't much growth in his character from the early days of always trying to get out of anything difficult or dangerous. But I realized, while making this video, that he shows more courage by being willing to stand there and die for his beliefs, than he would have by playing Errol Flynn. One of my favorite moments is when he's standing in front of the North Korean divide for the first time looking at all the guns pointed at him. He tells his surrounding guards that he expects every one of them to take to their heels if shooting starts and, if they don't, they should consider themselves fired on Monday.

King is worried about his fiancee who has been taken back to North Korea and goes there to get her back. Walks first along quiet path to meeting spot. Then walks into NK, uninvited.

King as a child locked into room and trying to get out, morphs into present day king as soldier not willing to undergo military training on gases.

Team member saves then prince from being blown up on treadmill by Club M.

NK supposedly declares war on SK and the mixed team is captured, including the then prince.

Because he played an incredibly cruel joke on his NK teammate, the teammate has gone over the edge and is ready to kill the prince, prince or no prince.

The team leader, later his fiancee, gets even with him by making him think they’re going to assassinate him with non-existent poison needles. He tries to let his guard know.

He ignores safety and is “killed” in a team competition by the team leader, and then put in a body bag still explaining how they should say he was REALLY injured and get out of all this.

Club M kidnaps his mother and fiancee. The fiancee saves the mother but is imprisoned in China, where the king defies rules and regulations to save her, only to have her shot escaping to him.

The conflict between the right way to have noodles in the North and South.

At his brother’s funeral, realizing he now has to take on the king’s dreams.

A rogue North Korean military “owned” by Club M, kidnaps the king while on one of his self-forced visits to North Korea. No one willing to risk saving him except his fiancee and her NK teammates. As for the king, he refuses to give an inch to the kidnappers and expects to be killed.

While not a big fighter, he DOES come up with a way for the Korean team to beat the American one but it relies on his fiancee trusting him to get the captured American out of the American HQ before she blows it up. If he doesn’t, she blows him up. (Errol Flynn would fight back!)

Back to the merry-go-round as he watches her put a gun in the mouth of the kidnapper.

America, politicans influenced by Club M, have announced they’ll bomb NK in return for a fake attack done by Club M. NK announces they’ll bomb SK. So much for peace. King is determined to stop the war. Relies again on who would shoot a king. Says if NK will “marry” SK on what would be the day of the bombing, America will never dare bomb NK. NK can’t make up their minds so king tells his former teammate to shoot. Teammate doesn’t want to but fiancee, negotiating the war for NK, takes the gun and points it at king. She’s willing to shoot him and comforts him that she’ll be following right behind when they shoot her. That makes the NKs give in.

But STILL Club M tries to stop the “wedding.” The American manning the separation won’t let the king through to his own wedding, so the Korean guard does.

And the marriage happens, making Club M miserable.

One of the issues with literary song videos is that they’re either “living room” videos or “auditorium” videos.

Living room videos tend to be for the fans of a show who know the show cold. It’s layered with subtlety which a fan will work to uncover. They’re played over and over again until a fan can close their eyes, listen to the music, and watch the entire video in their head.

An auditorium video relies on physical connection between a lyric phrase and a video motion. It’s used when the video will be mostly seen by non-fans and is used more as a theatrical teaser to see if the viewers want to watch the original drama or movie. Likely only watched once.

Then, when you’ve decided the lyrics can support the show, you match each line to a scene from the show.

I’ve done this song once before for a British spy show, The Professionals. It might work better there as an auditorium video as it’s more physical as the team tries to stay alive, rather than in this complicated war plot which, I’m realizing thanks to your comment, might be more a living room video.
