Hoping for clear skies that morning - I intend to capture the eclipse. Being in the eastern time zone, I will have to probably omit the second half of the eclipse where the moon comes out of Earth’s shadow, but if I can get the first half, that’s going to be great.
I’m trying to find a spot in the yard where I have a clear view of Polaris (so I can align my tracking mount) and be able to follow the moon down to around 15 degrees above the horizon. I’m probably going to end up under the power lines on the far end of my property. Otherwise, too many trees and other obstacles.
