A lot of the ankle-nippers get really unhinged when a negotiated settlement gets mentioned. They start quivering and doing their vicious little yipping and yapping.
They desperately want to keep the hostilities going.

Well, if it is any consolation I don’t agree that the U.S. is behind this, nor supports it. This is strictly a Zelensky plan to force NATO to physically join the war. Zelensky is an idiot and he is very dangerous; but the U.S. knows this and has been pushing back on him relentlessly.
I have been following this Ukrainian Telegram Channel (with an inside source inside the OP) for 5 months now. Their information has been accurate the entire time about all the machinations of the Zelensky regime.

Catholic analysis and dogma is intended to be universal.
Most versions of Christianity look to the philosophical tradition of Catholicism because they themselves lack this.
If they have an objection to something in Thomas’ Summa, they are compelled to make an argument against it, as Luther did.
Orthodox churches have generally taught Aquinas over the centuries, AFAIK. They have had various opinions of his philosophical approach, but they have not ignored him.
The theory of Just War is one of those bits in the Summa that is rarely challenged from a different Christian perspective. It is quite difficult to do, without dropping fundamental premises, or adopting very novel ones, within the general understanding of Christianity.
The only “correct” philosophical counter-argument is that of total pacifism, as in there are no just wars. But one can easily go back and find this conclusion unbiblical. Rock and a hard place for Christian pacifists.
In any case, this is my own, Catholic, basis for determining the justice of this cause.
