In a victory for Kevin Spacey, a New York jury has found him not liable for battery on allegations he picked up actor Anthony Rapp and briefly laid on top of him in a bed after a party in 1986.
Closing arguments are underway in the civil sexual misconduct trial against Kevin Spacey, stemming from allegations made by actor Anthony Rapp.
Best known for his role in “Star Trek: Discovery,” Rapp claims that in 1986, Spacey, then 26, invited Rapp, then 14, to his Manhattan home where he picked Rapp up, laid him down on his bed, grabbed his buttocks and pressed his groin into Rapp’s body without his consent.

Butt he's guilty of Buttery?
“in 1986”
Thats 36 years ago dude .........c’mon
Spacey is creepy and repulsive. He has dead eyes. Which made him a perfect candidate for “Horrible Bosses” where he played himself.
I just re-watched “American Beauty” a few nights ago starring Kevin Spacey. There’s a scene where his neighbor, who is a homo-hating middle-age Marine, discovers his latent homo tendencies after he mistakenly believes his 18 year old son gave Spacey a BJ. The Marine comes over to punch out Spacey, but winds up laying a kiss on Spacey. Spacey acts in revulsion and recoils.
It dawned on me that it had to be hard for Spacey to act as if he didn’t like that.
Spacey is also seducing his daughter’s best friend, a beautiful blond girl, about age 16. It must have also been hard for Spacey to act as if he wanted to bed the young girl.
He’s a good actor because both scenes were well acted and convincing.
He’s still a scumbag, though.
Why was a 14 year old at a party with adults? (Allegedly.)
I thought that was a terrible movie.
And to think it won Best Picture. Says it all about the Academy.
Did you notice the message: The straight husband was evil (and even a Nazi), but the gay male couple was perfect.
The persecution and prosecution of decent Americans while the guilty ones repeatedly skate is getting to be pretty tiresome.
1986!!!!!
Is there no statute of limitations anymore? Witnesses die. Evidence is lost. Memories fade and change. That’s why we prosecute within a period of time close to the event. To protect the falsely accused from the fundamental unfairness of having to defend with 36 year old evidence.
Where were you, sir, on April 5, 1986? This fellow here says you grabbed his buttocks. I know its been 36 years but this heinous crime lives on in our memories. He must have his squeezed cheeks avenged!
That’s one of those movies that after I watched it once and regretted it, I told myself well, there’s 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back.
Is that a lithium battery?
He’s a good actor, but apparently a true deviant.
Usual Suspects is outstanding all around.
Not to mention this little nugget:
“Don’t listen to what I said in real time. I’m defending a lawsuit now. Listen to me now. I’ve got it straightened out,” Steigman said”
Everything else aside that would have sunk him right there I sus.
Who doesn’t order pizza, at a party?
Evil and corruption seems to be winning, but good wins in the end. Those who seem be winning will stand judgement one day by the perfect judge of all mankind.
The 14 year old in question today plays a homosexual starfleet scientist who has a homosexual relationship with the black male doctor on Star Trek: Discovery. Google it.
The neighbor was Chris Cooper.
He was in The Bourne Identity.
I think that was my conclusion when I first watched it, too, but I forgot that. I’ll have to do a better job of remembering that this time.
It was a horrible, depressing indictment of modern life on 12 different levels. It has zero redemptive value.
