It’s a little bit more expensive in that you need full body armor to enjoy the day at Kennywood anymore ... all of that diversity in Duquesne helps to kill that park a little more each year :-) .

Damn shame since Steel Curtain and Phantom’s Revenge are two awesome, world-class rollercoasters (plus The Jack Rabbit (almost 100 years old now IIRC) and Thunderbolt are two outstanding classic coasters) ... also, if it made financial sense and the park could grow, they could make some awesome rides given the terrain out that way.

Sad to hear that and reinforces why I last went there a decade ago. The proximity to the city does expose it more to Urban Ferals vs. Idlewild, which is tucked away into the next county (ours) where Trump trounced Biden by over a 2-1 margin.

Took the granddaughter there pre-covid and would go again. It is more suited to small children and their (grand)parents.
