Is lower cost really the point of owning an electric car?

he is giving away the con game
the govt is supposed to ban gas cars so that EV is the only option before the cost of electricity makes the EVs only affordable for the rich and powerful
the masses will be on the electric bus worrying how to heat their homes

“Did you burn that gas, or did you get someone to burn it for ya?”
It’s the centralized vs distributed problem. Are electric plants more efficient producers of electric energy when transmission losses and battery charging losses are considered? Is centralized emissions scrubbing superior to car mounted catalytic converters? Etc.
The analysis is complex, and usually I, as a lay reader, only see the part that favors the talking points of the writer.

The more ev’s sold in my area the higher my electric bill will be.

What happens if you drive your EV through states that haven’t invested in all these charging stations?

When you use a charger at your workplace, are you getting billed for that electricity? Same question about these Interstate charging stations.
