It's about 60 miles. I suppose it could be done on one of the big jet skis in relatively calm waters. People take speed boats from FL to have dinner in Bimini. Probably takes longer navigating the intercoastals than the actual trip.

I have one and I would guess about 120 miles max. One of my rules is to never ride alone. Nothing more embarrassing than being stuck with a broken rig and having to wave down strangers for a tow. Best to just have a buddy pull you home.

Being stuck in the open sea with no one around would be terrifying.
