It appears there is a chance I will be moving to CT in the next year or so. I've never lived in the NE, nor in such a blue state. What's it like? Any advice? My children are grown, but I will be there with grandchildren. Any info on private schools? No need to discuss public schools as that is out of the question.
Thanks
i live right across the border in NY. What part of CT?
which part
Sympathy and Prayers.
Will you be near Uncle Joe’s (frequently visited) summer home?
Take your Samuri sword.
No kidding some blue states are like foreign closed countries compared to inner red America
Why are you moving?
Near Hartford Hospital. No more than about 30 minutes driving time.
Leftist hell.
One party rule Dem state legislature.
Stay away.
...because you can't take your guns...
Ct is not that bad. Like a lot of craphole blue states the problem is the cities, New Haven, Hartford, Bridgeport, control the whole state.
There are very good, very expensive private schools in Connecticut.
Stay away from Hartford.
My husband and I have retired and the plan for years is that when my daughter is an attending (Cardiology) we will move to be close to her and the babies to help in general needs and schooling, etc. She has had interviews with Hartford Hospital and it has progressed to the place they are flying her and her husband out there. She told me that if they offer her a contract, she will likely accept it.
It might be helpful to be a bit more specific with the location. Southwestern CT is vastly different from northeastern or central eastern regions.
If those are ‘no go’ areas (TY for that information) what would be some good suburbs to look at?
Looks like Hartford area - which the map shows is Central.
My heart is heavy knowing I may not be able to stay away. She is currently in Texas and boy was I looking forward to living there
Get used to longer and colder winters than Virginia
Autumns colors are nice.
Taxes are higher. There’s a lot more idiotic leftists around than you will be used to.
Depending where you are, there’s probably good choice of private schools
