Scott Harshbarger, along with help from Mitt Romney, is the one who fashioned the current MA ‘assault’ weapons ban...after the federal statute sunsetted.
Another law that should be considered is to charge judges and Prosecutors with a crime if they have allowed a defendant to plead down to insignificant time for major crimes, and/or to allow insignificant or no bail on major offenders, who then murder or maim others while on early release or bail. Call it the “Woke” responsibility bill.
And who is going to prosecute this locally?
And the definitions are moving targets.
It’s a nice thought, but this is why there are wrongful prosecution lawsuits.
Prosecution of the charges on Rittenhouse had to go through the grand jury process. That group is supposed to act as a speed bump against out of line prosecutors. They are presented prosecution evidence and they determine if probable cause had been established.
So, you are going against law that has been in place for more than 300 years and which is the basis for all serious criminal prosecution in our nation.
