On the latest episode of his Youtube show "Real Coffee with Scott Adams," the Dilbert series cartoonist suggested that if the GOP stands any chance of defeating Biden in 2024, Trump must be their candidate.
"There's only one way you're gonna beat Biden at this point," Adams began, arguing that Biden has taken a "Trumpian" approach by narrowing in on an issue he knows his voters care about, and riding it hard.
"That's what Trump did," he Adams added. "He just picked the scariest stuff, and he rode it hard, and it worked." He went on to suggest that Biden "has the extra benefit" of media backing, who will go along with his messaging about MAGA Republicans being a "threat to the country."
Adams argued that Trump is "the only one who will bend the rules enough to scare you enough to get you to vote." "Nobody else is gonna scare you enough to get you off the couch," he said of the former president. "He'll scare the **** out of you if you want him to. He'll give you just what you need to get you off the couch."
Adams reiterated his statements on Twitter, adding that Republicans have no chance of beating Biden if they refuse to stoop to his level and use fear to "bend reality enough to make Biden the scariest option."
When pressed on whether taking the high ground might lead to better results for the GOP, Adams remained steadfast in his belief that "only more fear can beat fear."

I like to think that I think for myself. I'm not disturbed by what opposition politicians say about their political opponent. I'm disturbed by the politicians themselves who usurp power, destroy liberty, commit atrocities, sanction murder, oppress people and so on. I don't need any help figuring out who they are.
remember - we’re not running against the Dem candidate but rather against a corrupted system of mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting etc manipulated by gov’t workers. i think deSantis could beat Biden - with Trump endorsement. but whatever, it has to be the strongest and ‘mostest’ that we have because we are up against evil and corruption.

If you’re gonna vote for Biden, you’re gonna vote for Biden. Nothing will ever change that.
If you’re going to vote for Trump, you’re going to vote for whoever, or whatever - a mis-matched walmart sandal in the clearance isle - and nothing is going to change that.
There is not a single republican out there that I wouldn’t cast a vote for in this one. “Anything but Biden”. I’ll take Any of the republican candidates except for the ones that we know are actually just dems.
