Fauci was only present for 1 of 7 covid briefings that week. In July Fauci says he hadn’t talked to Trump for 2 months. Then when everyone got upset about no covid briefings he started doing them by himself. So people have a tendency to do revisionist history. Fauci did pop in a few times in later montyhs and was at the last briefing to say some words but he was only at the Covid briefings standing by Trump every day EARLY on when nobody had any idea what was going on. Fauci was on every podcast, show and airport radar every day but there was no stopping that, you would think a libertarian would understand freedom of speech. Trump did ban him from some cable TV shows.
