The only time pick-pocketed was in Paris, they got my passport took out my emergency fund (in the event I was pick-pocketed) took the 50 euros out and put the passport back into my pocket.

I was pickpocketed in Paris years ago. They got an old wallet and 20 pieces of newspaper clippings, each the size of a one-dollar bill.
