They can’t leave good old things alone because they have no new ideas at all.
Perhaps Ralphie will get his boy a cooler firearm.
I believed in Santa Clause then and still hope he exists now.
Knowing hollyweird, Ralphie will probably announce that he’s “transgender” and is now his kid’s mom, and that his daughter is now his son, and his son is now his daughter. Of course, Ralphie will be married to a black lesbian.
Great news for a movie that requires NO sequel. Especially if you are familiar with the writings and musings of Jean Shepherd.
There have already been at least two attempts at a sequel:
1994’s “My Summer Story”: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Summer_Story
2012’s “A Christmas Story 2”:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Christmas_Story_2
Both stunk. Not holding out much hope for this despite them casting “Messy Marvin” after all of these years.
Peter Billingsly seems to be a good guy so keep an open mind.
Done right, in the manner Top Gun-Maverick seems to have been, yeah I will spend a few of the BidenBucks I have left to see it.
Another movie, I will be watching the reviews on Free Republic for.
The original, best movie ever.
You mean the 3rd sequel. My Summer Story was released in 1994 and is pretty good. A Christmas Story 2 was released in 2012 and is crap.
2022 version: Ralphie’s kid wants an AR-15. The catch phrase is, “No kid, you’ll blow your f****king head off.”

There was already a sequel,My Summer Story, released in 1994. Different cast but same characters. Not nearly as good.
The house where Ralphie lived is now a museum. It’s near Cleveland. It’s actually pretty cool.
There has already been sequels which died at the box office and or ratings on tv or went straight to video.
You rarely catch lightning in a bottle twice.
A Christmas Story (1983) had 2 sequels & 4 prequels!

99% certainty it’ll be an unwatchable woke pukefest ...
Since DH and I will probably enjoy Christmas alone this year, it actually crossed my mind this morning that we might want to go for Chinese that day. What a coincidence to now read of this sequel.
The chance of this movie depicting Ralphie in an inter-racial marriage and having an LGBTQ+ child is greater than 50%.
