GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The prosecution rested Thursday, Aug. 18 in the trial of two men accused of plotting to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

The prosecution rested after testimony from an undercover FBI agent with supposed access to explosives.

Barry Croft Jr., 46, of Bear, Delaware, and Adam Fox, 38 of Wyoming, Michigan, are on trial in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids.

Special agent Tim Bates, known as “Red,” said he joined alleged conspirators – in three vehicles - in a night-time reconnaissance mission in September 2020 to the governor’s place in Elk Rapids. He said Fox took photos under the bridge during a brief stop.

He said that he and Adam Fox explored a bridge for possible demolition near Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s vacation home to slow police response.

He said that those in another vehicle drove by the governor’s house but had the wrong street number and found not find it during that trip.

Croft and Fox are being retried on charges of conspiracy to kidnap and use of a weapon of mass destruction after a jury failed to reach a verdict in April. That jury acquitted Brandon Caserta, 34, of Canton, Michigan, and Daniel Harris, 24, of Lake Orion.

In all, 14 men, many with connections for Wolverine Watchmen, a Michigan militia, have been charged in state or federal courts. Croft and Fox were not associated with the Watchmen.

Bates said he took on the persona of a man with access to firearms. He was introduced to the others by Dan Chappel, an informant who contacted police after his first contact with the militia. He was alarmed by talk of killing police officers and agreed to work with the FBI.

From what I gather, Whitler knew about the whole scam in advance. That would make her a co-conspirator. Lock her up.

Whole thing is constructed like a ‘agent-provocateur’ gimmick. Really begs the question...between IRS, CIA, FBI, ATF, and the various agencies....how many agent-provocateurs do they have running around the US, and what’s the arrangements or pay to have ‘Secret-Agent-Jones’ on the payroll?

After a couple of hours the kidnappers would be paying to give her back.

Pepsi asks the money question.

It’s coming into focus. Obama’s “Fundamental Change” included seeding the federal workforce, as well as state offices, with a network of members adhering to a code of cultural wokeness.

Recruits mustered by such surrogates as ACORN, MOVE-ON, BLM and its paramilitary arm ANTIFA, factions inside SEIU, USPS unions, all provided recruits for federal jobs that spawned a beachhead for cultural revolution China style. For some details, research the Adrian Project. Adrian Project at first seems innocuous, but its recruiters are of the woke variant.

An FBI veteran direct witness explains more succinctly how it happened:

Was it the movie Raising Arizona where they kidnapped the wife of a rich man and instantly regretted it for her witchiness?

The DOJ keeps saying “white supremacists are the greatest threat to America”, and that might be so, but only because most of the DOJ and the rest of the alphabet agencies are comprised of wannabe heroes, who are pushing white supremacist groups to be enemies of America!!

So, those people might be the greatest threat, but that is because they are being pushed and goaded into becoming anti-American extremists!

Sounds like ‘Ruthless People’. Danny DeVito is the business man. Unsurprisingly, Bette Miller was the ‘witchy’ wife. Very funny movie.

The Defense was not allowed to mention that the other defendants were aquitted.

Seems to me that the defense could get around that simply by putting the other former alleged co-conspirators on the stand. After all the other questions are asked, the defense could wrap up by asking: “So why aren’t YOU here on trial today with these defendants?”

The Pit has not yet revealed their nuke.

Gregg and Catherine are still holding back. They are threatened with arrest, but they’re not in fear, just playing it smart.

No! In Raising Arizona it was a baby they kidnapped of a wealthy furniture store owner.
