Wow ... what a beauty
Boom? Well, I guess Acme was already taken. This sounds like Ford designing a car for women and calling it “The Probe”
Looks like Concorde but seats up to 45 passengers less and is no faster. Whatever? I guess Leonardo and his posse just need to get to the Global Warming conferences a little quicker.
Bookmark. This plane will never fly. Certainly not on biofuels by 2030.
Re: The Probe
I actually recall watching The Tonight Show when Johnny Carson told that joke.
That might be close to forty years ago!
Convenient for those times the Masters of the Universe are in a hurry.
Not for you or me it won’t.
LOL. I don’t think I would want to fly on a plane made by BOOM.
Indeed it is. Hard to believe we are 50 years after the Concorde was made.
“Still, Overture is years away from becoming a reality. Boom will build the jet at a new manufacturing plant in North Carolina and expects to roll out the first model in 2025, with the first flight in 2026. If the flight tests and certification process goes as scheduled, Boom says the Overture will enter commercial service by the end of the decade.”
That is an incredibly aggressive schedule in light of the challenges they face.
I’m going to try to get some odds on that happening to their timeline in Vegas.
Wind or solar.
Unveiling a new plane when no one will be able to afford travel is ridiculous.
Maybe the seating capacity is reflective of the after effects of the planned depopulation by our new global criminal cabal.
Yeah, but it won’t last. The Concorde was government funded and subsidized as a matter of national pride; otherwise, even wealthy people couldn’t afford to fly. Supersonic jets have a terrible “carbon footprint”. This probably means that worrying about “carbon footprint” is bogus; but, we already knew that.
That’s the sound it makes when the fuel doesn’t work as projected.
Just like NASA. reinventing the mission to the moon with aspirations for mars that is uninhabitable.
This is some kind of scam, or hustle.
Is there a “green” angle to this somewhere?
All electric.
