(CNN)Out of tens of thousands of monkeypox cases around the world this year, there have been a dozen deaths linked to the virus, and for the first time, some of them have been outside Africa, in countries where the virus doesn't usually spread. More than 31,000 cases of monkeypox have been reported globally since January 1, more than 10,000 of them in the United States. Most people have recovered at home with no lasting problems. But doctors are working to understand why monkeypox can be serious and, rarely, fatal. According to the latest numbers from the World Health Organization, there have been two monkeypox deaths in Spain, one in Brazil, one in Ecuador and one in India -- all so-called nonendemic countries. So far, none of these deaths hae been in the US.
In a recent Q&A on social media, Dr. Rosamund Lewis, technical lead on the monkeypox response for WHO, says the lack of clear understanding around disease severity is one reason why infectious diseases are so challenging.
"When people are exposed to infectious agents, they respond in different ways," she said. Some won't develop any symptoms or only mild problems like a low-grade fever. They get better and move on with their lives. Others, though, go on to develop very serious complications. "We're seeing that now," she said.
Lewis says WHO has asked every country for more information on the circumstances surrounding any monkeypox deaths.

It results in death when itโs the last straw the bodies of the frail, compulsive promiscuous can take.
Donโt play Russian roulette with your butt
Why is there a drought when they can desalinate water off the Atlantic like Israel does the Mediterranean?
Sorry, wrong thread.
“Donโt play Russian roulette with your butt”
They have been doing it since AIDS why would it be any different now?
Death by bunga bunga....
LOL. I choose death. ๐๐๐ง
Nobody really cares about the so called monkey pox outside Dementia Joe, Fauci and the crazy far left propagandists. Enough with this nonsense already.
Translation: There will be a lockdown, just before the midterms.
Lol I thought I was the only one who did that
Except they haven't. Never worried about AIDS and I sure as heck am not worried about Covid or monkey pox.
In deep blue California and New York etc. No chance of lockdowns in Florida, North Dakota etc.
Yes, not to mention, Texas, and other non woke states. ๐คช

Yet young, healthy people just dropping dead for no reason (after being jabbed) doesn’t seem to faze them at all.
Maybe true but it made me laugh. Itโs as good as any other answer
Maybe they die because they had the COvid vaccine....
More than likely. ๐๐๐๐
"Do I want to insert my private part into another man's foul rectum and die of disease? Or do I prefer to act morally and live?"The choice is theirs. Unfortunately for them, most choose poorly. You can't fool Mother Nature.
