I might just take the annuity option as long as I can pass it to my children.

Annuity is a terrible scam. The payout is non-equal. Late payments are much larger than early payments.

The hope obviously being that you die during the payment period. Yes, they hope you die before collecting all your winnings.

I'd first give some much needed cash to the adult children, and set up trust accts as well....I would buy a big bunch of land somewhere, maybe Montana or Wyoming, or ALaska....

I’d pondered this. I would do like ElonMusk and hire a bunch of blood thirsty lawyers — and sic them on every local gov’mt or organization that pushes nanny laws. Like bans on plastic bags, gas cans that don’t work, etc. Every piddly-arsed Karen-friendly bit of crappola that has made life worth less in last 20 years. Sue and sue and sue.
