Amber Heard's lawyers have just filed new documents, further detailing their claim that one of the jurors deceived the court by pretending to be the person who was actually summoned.
The new docs claim a jury summons went to a Virginia home where 2 people with the same name reside. The document says the person summoned is 77 years old, but the person who actually showed up for jury service is 52.
Now the docs say both people share the same last name. It would seem they must also share the first name as well, because it would be a big red flag to the court if the first names were different. The document does not address the first name.
In any event, Amber's lawyers say this was a fraud on the court because the 52-year-old never should have served on the jury, but apparently wanted to do so.
As you know, that juror, as well as the others, all sided with Johnny Depp on his defamation claim ... in Virginia, a unanimous verdict is required.
Amber's lawyers are crying foul, and want the verdict set aside and a new trial ordered.

this Willy Wonka moment in the trial is hilarious for many reasons

btw, for those that didn’t watch any of the trial..one of the more bizarre moments is a guy giving a depo in his car while vaping...and then he just starts driving.
The Judge said afterwards that she had never seen anything like it.
Oooh……like the Clinton attorney lying to the FBI.
It’s more likely that the courthouse just got it’s records mixed up. Virginia grants an automatic exemption from jury duty to people over 70.
Also, once the clerk certifies them for the jury pool, the jury notice doesn’t really matter.
Just one of many hilarious moments. It is widely believed that AHs legal team got the wrong Dr. Spiegel because there is one much more qualified in the field they were concentrating on with the same name. This DR Emmitt Brown (Back to the Future) lookalike did nothing to help her at all.
Also they had a chance to disqualify the juror BEFORE trial began. That makes this a moot point even if they were right.
Of course. You’re spot on. Like everything that AmberMustBeHeard touches or complains about, it all comes back to her.
It’s her clinically out of control mouth, the compulsive motorized emoting, opining and whining. She just can not shut up.
Wait till TMZ hears about Rachel Jeanteal.
I don’t know about VA, but in NJ where I lived until a week ago, a 77 year old would be excused from jury duty due to age and likely would not be summoned. I think the age limit was 75. If they were summoned, age gets them excused. The correct person was probably summoned and appeared.

At the time, my 82yo mother was on jury duty. All week she hadn’t been called up. Unfazed, my mom had a yughe personal problem, and needed to be excused from jury duty. The judge listened to my mom’s reason for being excused. Without hesitation, my mom was released. My mother had her 2:00 pm standing beauty shop appointment the next day!
Wise judge knew you don’t mess with 82 yo’s with standing beauty shop appointments.
