BREAKING UPDATE: The 22-year-old man wanted in Highland Park parade shooting is in custody, police say.
A brief pursuit took place on Route 41 in Lake Forest, where Robert “Bobby” Crimo III was taken into custody. He is believed to be the shooter, Lake County PIO Chris Covelli said.
WGN Investigates has learned online accounts associated with him provide plenty of red flags for possible sinister intent. Crimo III’s father unsuccessfully ran against Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering in 2019. When reached for comment, his father hung up on WGN News.
