Hope so... When I was a kid in the early 70s, Suicide Six was intiminating, so I never went there. Maple Valley (a now closed ski resort) and Mount Snow were the ones I went to. As a teen, took up snowmobiling on the VAST (Vermont Association of Snow Travelers) trails. Almost ran over some morons cross country skiing on the VAST trail (illegal to do so).
Miss Vermont I do.. some of the small towns hate out of towners.
Well played sir!
If they ever force me to use special pronouns at work, I will be fired, no doubt. And I work at an extremely liberal place.
After 9 decades one person complains and they capitulate?
I hate that crap. Back in the day, I flung myself at the infamous Markleeville Death Ride down in California. Took me 3 tries to finish it - 151 miles, 5 mountain passes, 15,000 feet of climbing. Brutal. Then the insurance companies got pissy about the name, so it got renamed the Tour of the California Alps.
Is Killington still around?
Worse that “ape hangers” are extended forks out to the max. Try turning those things in tight spaces. You can’t unless doing a 3 point back and forth.
Even worse was cutting a chunk out of the backbone of a frame and bending the neck back so the fork can be extended longer. A chopped knucklehead is worth a few Gs. An original condition knucklehead is worth 10 times that. Morons really screwed up a lot of old HDs in the 70s.
“... can’t call a ski run a “slope” ...”
Wait ‘til they find out there’s rakes laying low in the Lawn & Garden dept...
“...every neighborhood had a Suicide Hill no matter when or where you were growing up.”
Mix all the choices of soda at the local Golden Trough into one giant drink. What’s that called? A suicide.
These.
People.
Are.
Blithering.
Idiots.
Sometimes, I cannot believe we live in the same country as them, never mind be part of the same species.
