The incredible illogic of Roe vs Wade bites in many ways. They simply couldn’t get abortion though society in any other way, so they forced it through a very liberal SCOTUS. People now are mostly unware even RBG thought it was a mess. She probably still would have voted for it though, which is a very sad and sorry thought. This is why there is no such thing as a principled liberal.
When you come down to the roots of the philosophical leftist decision making, they simply can’t come up decent law. They have to grind together a mess of feelings and wishes what they want the Constitution to be. I’m too lazy to check, but I think I remember her saying it was bad law.

Coffee, must stop posting before coffee intake!
In this case the logic is sound. RBG had made a spectacle of herself and should have retired during the Obama years for several good reasons. From a leftist point of view, they never thought Trump was a threat, so they didn’t push her at the time; but as the writer says, It is true she stayed too long, and but for her lingering on into Trump’s term, she would have been replaced by a proabort, like even Garland god forbid.
Yes RBG said Roe was bad law, but she only acknowledged that because she assumed, as they all did, that it would be on the books forever. Surprise, surprise, Ruth.
