The problem has always been that the politicians have preferred to hide behind the Roe v. Wade ruling to electorally protect themselves, and did not want to have to debate, legislate, and vote on the issue of abortion.

This should never have been a SCOTUS decision in the first place. If Congress had acted 50 years ago, we wouldn't be in the situation we're in today.

Huh ?
Due to Federalism and enumerated powers, Congress has absolutely no say in abortion.

The situation is dire. SCOTUS judges are all about their stance on abortion....NOT THE CONSTITUTION. They take peoples money and spend it on Abortion, even though people have religious objections. Roe v Wade is a disaster. The power has been returned to the people. Hope we use it wisely.

No, abortion is not a federal issue. Congress should stay out of it.

I remember when it was decided .. YEARS ago. The black girl in my office - smart, cute, and married into a prominent black family in NC - she came storming into work so angry that this was a way to KILL BLACK babies. She was so upset.

A some point in time she and other Dims change their minds.

I do not know how these Dims were able to come to terms with death of baby was ok Except sheeple mentality

That's true in general.

POTUS runs campaign on tax and domestic policy, suggesting that he, not Congress is in charge of tax and domestic policy.

Administrative agencies are created and Congress delegates its power there. Don't like the oil exploiration policy? See Bureau of Land Management, we don't do that policy any more.

And as you well point out, social policy was taken up by SCOTUS. Well, now SCOTUS is showing signs of being tired of being the whipping boy for the legislature.

Still, people complain about Biden's inflation when Congress is the sole entity with the power to regulate the value of money.

Totally agree. Now state legislators will have to deal with this rather than hide behind fed law. Good.
