It’s amazing how in Star Trek and Star Wars and just about every space story, all the people of one planet get along with a single unified front. Not even any talk of conflict between different types of people (I.e., it seems there aren’t even different “races”) from the past.
I know the “unified planets” is supposed to sub for that, but honestly, if planets are that big - they should be just as “diverse” (thus non-unified) as this planet.
That said, I agree that the Left is not going to let any crisis go to waste (be it an alien invasion or attack by Godzilla).
They’ve been here a long time... and we’re a unique life supporting planet. Not a comfortable combination.
I don’t believe the drone theory ... more likely they’re operating outside our understanding of physics. Maneuvers within a ‘tube’ - who knows? But if they were a danger we’d probably know by now.
