Yes. it is much better to be alone all the time with nothing to do, no one to talk to, just all alone. Sounds great. Live alone, vacation alone, go to movies alone, eat out alone, always alone. Sounds delightful! I’ll be what I am, a Solitary Man. No kids, no spouse, no grandkids, no friends, no family. Just Silence. And when you are old and sick and frail, no one to care or help you. You live alone, you die alone. Sounds great. If you have a medical emergency, no one to take you to the doctor. You just fall down and die there, unable to get up. So nice. Gotta love it.

You can hire a young live-in caregiver. Preferably she is a poor illegal and will depend on your monthly checks. And if she can’t speak English that’s a plus. She’ll keep to herself and won’t bug you while you’re surfing FR or watching reruns of “I Love Lucy”.
Your concern is touching.

I fall overboard, die, and feed the fishes. Best part 1st one to find claim it gets a free boat!
Life is sweet, but no one gets out alive.
There are drawbacks, no question. There are also benefits, like no dependence on an agent of conflict.
