Interesting. I wonder how many trucking firms & drivers would run the risk. Illegal and would no doubt void warranties & insurance, etc.

Most farmers with a diesel pick up. Popular in farm country, where the cultivating equipment runs on diesel, too.

The engine computer programming allows only 5mph, if there is no DEF in the tank, but it CAN be diddled with.

Biden's people are REALLY itching to start a revolution. No food will do it.

They would just need to change the regulation. They actually did that temporarily last year when replacements for failing NOX sensors were impossible to get. The SCR system on diesel trucks just squirts DEF into the exhaust as it goes up the stack. It doesn’t have anything to do with how the engine performs. The EPA mandates that trucks derate when the SCR system isn’t functioning correctly because they are assuming that no one would bother to fix it otherwise.
