Bennet predicted that the Republican campaign against him will be simple: Rising gas prices, inflation and his decade-plus in Washington. He conceded that Democrats’ $1.9 trillion coronavirus spending package may have contributed to inflation, but argued that the Federal Reserve’s monetary policies and supply chain woes are more to blame.

KEYWORDS:
Doable? A bridge too far? 50% he got in 2016. Winning Az,Nv, Ga, and NH would be our best hope in November but a big wave would put Colorado in play. Then you go to our challengers. No familiar name. Bill Owens is 72 and blew his career long ago Too early for Bobert-might be too over-the-top for Colorado. So we're going with an unfamiliar rich guy named O'Dea. Perhaps that Coors fella can holler free beer! id this Irish no-name wins. The free beer comment should have been put the day he lost-don't know when.

There was talk about a dozen years ago about running John Elway for senate. He didn't want to take the pay cut. Same thing with Pete Coors.

I can't stand Bennet. He sounds like a retarded surfer dude.

Pete Coors did in fact run and lost in 2004, defeated by Ken Salazar. It was a net pickup for the Democrats in a Republican leaning year (and Colorado was then still a Republican leaning state). He did not get some of the conservative base vote because of the racy TV commercials run by his company.

I’m no Karl Turd Blossom Rove highly-paid political consultant, but my gut says anyone who is smart enough to boil the 2024 issues down to lowering energy prices by becoming energy independent again will be the next President.

People have limited capacity to remember stuff - three issues is the max: so Gas Prices, Inflation, and fixing the supply chain are the three that will gain the White House.

Okay, now that you mention that, I remember.

I went to see George W. Bush here in Greality, and he had Pete Coors and Rudy Giuliani with him.

Sorry, I'm losing a lot of memory.

Coors knew he was going to lose so why not go for the “If I win its free beer!” line? Just before the election. Factious I know but it wouldn’t be down and dirty like the rats operate. Owens probably thought the senate was beneath him like so many other governors who think like a wannabe POTUS. His divorce didn’t help but this was around ‘08 when it’s not a big deal. Musta had a girlfriend but then so did B.J.

Another lost ‘opportunity’ this year? Probably not. It doesn’t help that too many here are still bringing up a stolen election of which proof won’t change anything.

“The low-key Democratic senator hails from a state that President Joe Biden won by 13 points. His in-state colleague, Sen. John Hickenlooper, won by 9 points in 2020 against a Republican incumbent.”
Would not get too optimistic in CO. too many folks on drugs.

I would add immigration to the list. Millions of illegal immigrants are going to stress our social systems to the breaking point.

Even hispanics in this country feel that unchecked immigration is not good for them.

Four issues might be pushing the envelope though. LOL

Bill Owens. 'Governor Gun Control'. He's the reason we formed the Tyranny Response Team.

Would that we had such an entity now.

I’ll stand corrected on Bill Owens but another opportunity wasted.

Elway? Interesting, especially after 2 SB rings but then he’s failed as a GM/used car dealer. Why waste hard-earned money? Mike Shanahan-not his department.

What’s left?

Democrats only have six months left to convince voters that the skyrocketing gas prices, 70s style inflation, food shortages, and plummeting economy are all Trump’s fault.
