Just registered and it was quick but they do require an email dress of couse and also a mobile phone number to text a confirmation code to. Doesn't necessarily need to be your cell phone but you will want it available when you register. I used to use my wife's before I had one.

It’s the website just like freerepublic.com so of course it’s available via PC - browser. I’m on a PC albeit not Windoze.
Even though there’s no Android app yet, technically you could use a web browser app to go to the website.

When I signed up I put my user name and password. It kept saying username was already in use. I tried several different versions, same thing. Then I went back to my original username with a different password. Bingo, it took it. So I suggest you try a different password.

Good! Are you in and have full features? Because the phone number is s deal breaker for me period. if you are registering from a PC desktop there is absolutely no reason to need a phone number except to Spam you, sell it, or identify and track you.
Flawless security from autobots can be done without it. I have been doing it for years. Email conformation and a good captcha work fine. And collecting phone numbers will not keep out human spammers anyhow.
