Agreed. I have three Norwegian Forest cats, one is a kitten not yet 10 months old, and they are strictly indoors as I believe all cats should be.
I also feed birds and you cannot imagine what I have had to endure with a neighbor’s free roaming cat that killed so many birds, one other cat that has disappeared finally. Caught that one on my camera tearing a gorgeous male cardinal to shreds making him suffer as it took its time over a half hour devouring it. I still think about it and wish I’d have seen it live on camera so I may have been able to save it.
My neighbors cat died, yes, as much as I love cats that made me happy, so now I’m down to one cat that is constantly hanging out stalking my birds.
For my neighbor I researched ways to help save the birds and learned outdoor cats kill over 2 BILLION backyard birds a year! Pretty significant number.

My wife’s uncle used to sit on his back porch in Price, Utah and take care of the feral cat population with his .22 rifle. With over 100 cats buried in the ground he had one of the most productive garden plots in the town.
OMG those cats are absolutely beautiful, they are also big kitties!! I have to ask is the coat really thick close to the skin!! I had a cat Big Boy he was a HUGE cat apricot in color, very long fur but his fur close to the skin was extremely thick I spent so much time brushing him if I didn’t his fur would mat!! I LOVED that boy so much had him for 19 and a half years such a mellow cat!! I replaced him with a Rag Doll who has very long fur but it is like bunny fur so much easier to care for!! My other baby is a feral that was abandoned by her mom I found her in my yard had to bottle feed her!! The feral NEVER leaves them it is in their genes she has NEVER been outside, she is now 18 years old but has NEVER been a loving pet, has a real mean streak in her that I believe is the feral gene in her!! When she passes I would love to look into getting a Norwegian Forest what gorgeous kitties they are!!
