He’s referring to Laura Ingram last night.
Sorry but hes 100% correct. Our policy on the Russian invasion and the war in Europe is not attached to every other issue facing the United States. It’s an important issue in its own right to be decided on its merits.
What interest do we have in the Ukraine?
Or Afghanistan?
Or Vietnam?
Not one drop of American blood.
Exactly - I haven't understood that line of argumentation from the start. The most common version of it I see is that we should use the money we're spending to defend Ukraine to defend our own borders. But the one has absolutely nothing to do with the other.
The the reason the border wall isn't being built has nothing to do with the lack of money, but rather current administration's deliberate strategy to not secure the border. They wouldn't build the wall even if it was completely free.
From a purely financial point of view, the amount of money we're spending to help Ukraine bleed the Russian military is an incredible return on investment. It essentially will let us concentrate a much higher percentage of our military spending on countering China because an emasculated Russia will be much less of a potential threat in Europe.
It’s just spooky when Republicans and Democrats agree so strongly on something.
