Ashley Judd took aim at the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade in an Op-Ed honoring her late mother Naomi as she celebrates her first Mothers Day without her.
Judd, 54, penned the Op-Ed for USA Today in which she remembered her late mother Naomi Judd, who reportedly killed herself last month a day before she was set to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
'This Sunday is abruptly, shockingly, my first Mother's Day without my mama,' the actress wrote. 'She died just days before my sister and I could show her again how much we love and honor her.
'It wasn't supposed to be this way. I was supposed to visit her on Sunday, to give her a box of old-fashioned candy, our family tradition,' Judd added. 'Instead, I am unmoored. But my heart is not empty. It is replete with gratitude for what she left behind. Her nurture and tenderness, her music and memory.'
Judd, known for her roles in such movies as 'Kiss the Girls,' 'Double Jeopardy' and 'Heat' also wrote about her mother's journey with mental illness and how despite having motherhood forced on to her, she still did her best.
'Motherhood happened to her without her consent,' Judd wrote. 'She experienced an unintended pregnancy at age 17, and that led her down a road familiar to so many adolescent mothers, including poverty and gender-based violence.'
Judd wrote that her mother 'had to fight like hell to overcome the hand she was dealt, to earn her place in history,' adding: 'She shouldn't have had to fight that hard to share her gifts with the world.'

How sad that a daughter would selfishly use her mother’s death for her political platform, instead of talking about her mom. Makes you wonder how many times Naomi tried to go to her with a cry for help and Ashley, like an unfeeling robot, talked about herself and her warped opinions. What a miserable person this rabid lib must be.

These people take zero responsibility for their actions and expect an unborn child to pay thr price for them all while (nowadays) having others literally pay for it. The solution is very simple: Keep your legs closed and there will be no forced motherhood or gruesome death of your own child. For women who seem to hate men abd blame them for many of their problems, why do they jump into bed with them (the enemy(so often then blame society that they got pregnant? Boggles the mind.

Ashley Judd was lovely and great in the Heat movie with Val Kilmer. Otherwise, she has gone crazy and useless with #MeToo etc. Too bad she lost her way.
I thought Naomi Judd had MS problems. But I have seen nothing of this in the news.
Was Ashley the result of her mom’s unwanted pregnancy she discusses? If so it’s bizarre someone would bemoan themselves being born.
Indeed it is. There is almost no excuse for getting pregnant in this day and age. There is also adoption.

Well being the eternal optimist and always trying to look on the bright side, at least we can look forward to a bright future where all these abortion loving evildoers eventually go extinct due to no being fruitful and multiplying.
