I wasn’t deficient in magnesium. I had flu symptoms, and my mother-in-law suggested it. I don’t remember how much my wife put in. After all that it was Lyme Disease, and that got taken care of with cheap anti-biotics, thank God.
Long ago I read that one should take calcium with magnesium at about a 2 to 1 ratio.

Most fruits have the same amount of magnesium and calcium. I don’t take these supplements, but I would take the same amount of magnesium and calcium.
How about if one has had a TAVR— trans aortic valve replacement?
The 2 to 1 ratio is the old standard, but there are new opinions for 1 to 1. Here is the Google page with several choices in both camps.
