Everyone was a Dodger fan that day.
“Where have you gone, Joe Dimaggio Rick Monday?
A nation turns its lonely eyes to you.”
To the Dodgers’ radio broadcasting booth. Been there since since 1993 and he’s very good.
Rick is a great man. Fabulous voice announcing Dodger games even today. One time I saw him asked about it and he told the interviewer very humbly, “You would have done the same thing.”
I sent the video and narrative to every vet on my email list.
Greatest play indeed. %^#$ %@ggot pinko leftist slimes.
Great story.
I was recovering from surgery, and missed it altogether.
I’m glad to learn of it.
Does anybody remember the outfielder kicking a “protester” square in the butt, on the field, during a game?
I have the picture in my mind’s eye, but can’t find it or the story anywhere. For some reason Joe Pepitone’s name comes to mind wrt this, but I can’t find anything about it.
Except the frightened "professional athletes" who are hiding under their beds because they "tested positive", notwithstanding that they're not sick ... they're just obeying MLB orders.
That’s great, Thanks.
