Without batting an eye, 2 DC juries have unanimously convicted J6 protesters on “obstruction of an official proceeding” felonies, the first time this law has been used in this way. The Left can cheer for now, but criminalizing political activity will have lasting repercussions.

They think this legal precedent will only apply to Trump supporters who “stormed” the Capitol. But it won’t. These convictions—if upheld by DC Circuit and SCOTUS—will eventually apply to political protesters in every jurisdiction. Only a matter of time until it backfires on them

He got no fine, no jail tine, and can still practice law.
In fact, the presiding Judge called him “a good man.”

I suppose the question we should be asking ourselves is: What can we do about this? But the answers very often lead to that expression of “our forefathers would be shooting by now”. I am certain they would not have tolerated having political prisoners.
The Left would never be prosecuted. The Left has murdered and burned cities without consequence.
There is but one remedy as far as I’m concerned.

Good God, where have you been the last 10 years? The Left breaks the law as much as they please and nobody is ever held to account! The law only gets enforced to the nth degree against republicans. BLM is free to burn and loot away, while protestors entering the capital after the magnetic doors were opened for them are still languishing in jail.
