We don’t know what those people who might have those copies are doing. We know there was a laptop. We know it got into government hands. And we know it passed through multiple hands and “cannot be found” right now...officially speaking.
There are copies out there. People had the laptop itself, and that without a doubt includes the guy who initially got it in his shop. When I heard he made a copy, I would bet money it was a sector by sector copy, because he likely knew his life (no melodrama here) might come to depend on it someday.
We can certainly disagree with what people may or may not have found on it, and I am in no way agreeing or disagreeing with what this guy says he found...just stating that it is possible.
What I see is possible is that he has it and was willing to talk about it, but there are possibly other people who have it but are not talking about it, even people on “our” side, for whatever reason. That’s all.
I assume he is working from a disk image.

Giuliani offered it to the fibbies who raided his office over the “ukraine” supposed offenses regarding the election steal through Ukraine and Italy. He said “I offered them a copy of Hunter Biden’s laptop— and they said no, no we don’t want that”.
Matt Gaetz questioning the head of fibbie cyber division— the head of the division said they have LOST the laptop!! Who could believe this— since the laptop was signed over to (Dan Bongino ferreted this info out at the time) the head of the FBI’s Paedophile strike team— a top guy who signed for the laptop. Tracing where it went from there should be easy for the cyber division dude— there must be an chain of custody on such EVIDENCE! Just beyond belief the criminal element within fibbies and DOJ— to protect Mueller and his actions with Biden pal— nephew of Whitey Bulger (who people in the know are pretty sure Mueller through Bur. Of Prisons, had Whitey at 80 plus years transferred to a crap hole federal pen in WV where Whitey was murdered the first day by an Italian mob convicted hit man in for life). Cannot make this up... and no one is answerable to any of this?
Stupid enough to ignore a cheap repair bill with the laptop then mechanic liened by the shop owner who clearly got copies out, and then offered the machine (having consulted with his father on the team approach) to the head of the fibbies Paedophile Strike team.
This exchange and release to the fibbie guy has been discussed at length by Dan Bongino, and is quite amazing. The laptop had been immersed in water in yet another Hunter Biden drugged up driving excursion. And there was i think 4 laptops in all all from the Beau Biden Foundation as labeled on the laptops. The sacred Beau... and complete meth head freak pervo (ex Navy Officer without have completed OCS- direct appointment to a job he could not do or keep because of his cocaine and drug tracing test failures. Discharged from the US Navy for it).
I also wonder if anything "found" on it will now be considered "disinformation" because the chain of custody has broken down to "somebody had a copy and made a copy and gave somebody else a copy", etc.

JM: I wanted to do this right, through the correct channels. I tried the Justice Department. I tried congress. Now it’s August of 2020, I’ve been sitting on this for more than a year, and I decided it was time to go to the president, directly to his attorney. So I came out of the shadows and emailed Giuliani directly.
BNN: You waited until August of 2020, you waited 16 months?
JM: End of August, around the 24th.
BNN: Nine months after the FBI picked it up and did nothing with it? You gave the FBI nine months to do the right thing?
JM: Yep, and I get a call from Rudy’s lawyer, Bob Costello. It was a few days before they believed I was for real, and on August 28 I overnighted a copy of the drive. Bob wanted to pay for the shipping and reimburse me for the drive. I said no. I didn’t want any money [ed. note: Bob Costello confirmed this]. That’s how paranoid I was about anyone judging this in a certain light. Perceptions mattered. I didn’t want to go to the press because I didn’t want to be accused of not going through the proper channels or doing this for money. I’ve seen how things can pervert noble gestures and I didn’t want my actions seen as anything other than honorable.

It is an interview with the repair shop guy, and he has a bit of information that sheds a little light on the copies.
He said he had three copies before he even gave one to Giuliani, one for his dad to give to the FBI (they refused) one he sent to a friend for safekeeping, and one on the server in his shop.
He did say it took 24 hours to copy, which made me think that was a sector by sector copy, but he did say the computer had power problems, so, it isn’t definitive.

This indicates Issacs gave it to the FBI directly in Jan 2020 or so after making a “copy” (or perhaps copies).
So only he and the FBI ever had physical possession of the computer or computers.
