eTrade went to Morgan Stanley. I have them myself.
USAA went the Schwab route so I dumped them.
I can’t recommend any of the newer applications as they have been prone to manipulating the access on their platform to benefit the big guys over standard folks.
Some are recommending Direct ownership or DRS through Computershare, and other companies that do that, instead of through a broker where you have title to the share but the broker has it in their name on your behalf.
Should clarify USAA is now using Schwab for their investment stuff such as IRAs, stocks, etc - not their banking or insurance.
