1)Have you seen the growth rate of crypto as opposed to say, stocks? Look at its growth/adoption rate in comparison to the internet in the 90s. Its growing extremely fast. The authoritarian freezing of bank accounts and seizure of assets in various western countries without due process of law will help boost the popularity of crypto.
2) What do you mean "can't be hacked"? What specific hacks are you talking about? Various exchanges have been hacked over the years though increasingly less as they've improved security. Various actual crypto currencies themselves? I'd need to see examples of those hacks you are talking about.
Past growth is one thing. What’s going on now is the point.

Tell me about which hacks you are talking about.

Search “hackers asked to give crypto back” and read a dozen or so of the results.
Then search “$4.6 billion Bitcoin TikTok” for fun.
Then you can be as specific as you like with the results.
Ah I see! So we're back to some exchanges have been hacked - especially 5-10 years ago, like I said from the start. There are hardly any instances of the Crypto currencies themselves being hacked. Its the exchanges that have sometimes been hacked. That's what I thought.

Crypto and blockchain are two different things but you can’t have one without the other.
The bottom line is that people lost “money”, accounts were raided and damages done.
It’s obvious you are blind to the reality that anything created by man can be corrupted by man. That includes Crypto.
Crypto is based on blockchain technology. Yes, I know. I never said anything to the contrary. What were hacked were exchanges, not crypto currency itself. I acknowledge some of the exchanges especially in the early years of Crypto needed to beef up their security. Then again, hackers steal fiat currency from banks and companies all the time too.
I'm perfectly aware that crypto currencies can be used for authoritarian purposes. That's exactly what CBDC's are. That however is very different - diametrically opposed actually - to most crypto currencies and privacy coins especially.
