The unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine has exposed the folly, peril and incoherence of 21st Century Globalism. Unlike the economic globalism of the 19th and early 20th centuries that focused on the concept of free trade of goods for goods, this iteration can be characterized by allegiance to irrational environmentalism and the creation of elitist global institutions determined to mold mankind and impose regimentation on countries and their populations to ostensibly “save the planet.”
The operational underpinning of 21st Century Globalism is the extortion and intimidation of nations throughout the planet to acquiesce to radical “green” policies whose true objective is not to “save the planet” but the elimination of national identity and de facto global governance by unaccountable institutions.
The populations of many countries (such as the United States and much of Europe) have accordingly been coerced into altering their traditional national lifestyles and have marginalized their manufacturing and energy bases by voluntarily becoming reliant on other nations for basic goods and energy.
The Ukraine War has revealed the inanity of naïve voluntary dependance on manufactured products and/or natural resources from despotic countries, such as Russia, Iran and China, who are jointly and clandestinely setting up their own version of autocratic globalism.

The slave labor in these despotic countries is just too tempting to large companies whose leadership have no conscience.
He lists all sorts of reasons how 21st Century Globalism provoked the Russians and then calls it "unprovoked."
The war is 21st Century Global imperialism marching up to his front door, pointing guns in, while we clean out his bank account and put mortgages on it. We have seen the way US dollar imperialism was set to strangle his economy and rob hie people through our ability to pay for Hunter Bidenomics by printing paper in the currency he is forced to use - $30T of government paper alone that we have no intention ever of paying back on top of all the US$ denomnated private debt.
It's a great gig. If a 1/3 of the gains goes to social program pack home to pay off the displaced workers, 1/6 goes to the governments to support the military power needed to keep the suppressed native home and abroad under control, it's a great gig for everyone exept the rapees - oh and those delude few relics ack home who still value the old virtuous ways.
“Unprovoked” in the first sentence tells us this is a pro-Cabal propaganda piece.
Yup
The Great Powers of the World War I era had rulers who were related by blood.
That didn’t stop WW1 from breaking out.
A far weaker globalism won’t stop wars from breaking out.
Globalism may cause civil wars within nations to break out. The Russian-Ukraine conflict is an internationalized civil war.
History has shown that this new attempt at world domination will fail (but only after many die).
The reason, basic human nature will over whelm the mightiest army or most brutal regime.
Humans are social animals, they prefer to live among those that share their language, culture, beliefs, history and religion.
Humans do not rebel against dictators (look at North Korea) they rebel against any authority that attempts to force them to live with those that don’t share their values or attempt to punish them for having those beliefs.
The North Koreans don’t rebel simply because they are all the same (and they know nothing else). Most of the world population do know something else and as they find their lives being controlled by some unknown and unaccountable authority they will rebel. Perhaps first non-violent then with violence and destruction.
Examples of this can be found in history.
Ancient Egyptians had rebelled against one of their Pharaoh when he tried to change their gods.
The Romans never were able to subdue the people in what is today Scotland nor in other parts of their empire. Whenever or wherever Rome appeared weak the native rebelled.
The old Soviet Union only managed to keep their “empire” together by their willingness to kill any who opposed them, but look what happened when the Soviet lost their hold. Yugoslavia is a good example of people that did not share common values forced to act like they did. After the Soviets lost control the people in that region rebelled and formed their own countries.
These are just thumbnail sketches of events in the past and is not meant to be a complete explanation of the events listed.
My point is that this new “one world order” is doomed to fail the only question at what cost?
No need to read further.
The Deep State has been poking the bear for decades.
Ukraine is a money-laundering wonderland for the evil globalist spawn of Joe Biden, Mitt Romney, George Soros, etc.
Linda Graham made a speech ten years ago about declaring war on Russia.
Biden and US Senators have talked about launching a preemptive nuclear strike on Russia.
This is what's really going on in Ukraine.
“The unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine...”
That’s as far as I got. If he spent 5 minutes reading the history there, he wouldn’t have included the word ‘unprovoked’.
.
McCann has written almost five hundred articles according the American Thinker's summary.
https://www.americanthinker.com/author/steve_mccann/
Unlike many other writers whose work is posted to American Thinker, McCann's show no small bio at the end. I find this odd for such a busy author. He is not the only one without a bio synopsis, but I like to know something about an author whose opinion and analysis I read.
“Unprovoked”
The first stumble in thinking of the article.
Not to take Russia’s side, but this was by no means unprovoked.
That said, the major failing of globalism is outsourcing vital industries. The relatives of greedy and corrupt politicos gleefully helped destroy US industry so as to personally profit from outsourcing stuff to CCP-controlled companies that the relatives had invested in — before the info became public.
We have a list of substances that are considered strategic, like cobalt — necessary for defense. Industries trying to use these substances have to be mindful that if they try and corner the market the Feds will step in and crush them. I’ve seen this.
What we need is a similar list of manufactured stuff. Such things must either have multiple producers in other countries or a domestic one that is sustained regardless of cost. Kinda like laws are on the books to protect the market from a company acquiring a monopoly. E.g., if you control >90% extra regulations kick in.
Only ones profiting from globalism are the top 1% and the well-connected. And the CCP.
The Wall Street - DC axis has been selling out Main Street to China for 30 years. Trump was upsetting that, so they all combined to stop him at one term.
