The decadence of the United States and the Western democracies is a motivation for Putin to think he can invade Ukraine with impunity. Not the only motivation, but he believes that if NATO were to retaliate, the American, German, and British militaries would be a shadow of their former selves.

Everybody is eating up the story that Ukraine is kicking Russia’s ass. Do you really think or military could take on the Russian’s or the Ukraine’s?
