What gets me about the Russian invasion is the growing evidence it was poorly planned and maybe even worse executed.

Why are webcams still up?
Why do the cities still have power?

It seems to me in a proper plan those would have gone down on day 1 - Heck! on hour 1 !

Maybe I just don't have enough evidence and its all going well for Ivan. However if it was you would think the air & intenet-waves would be bombarded with scenes of victorious Ivan. Surrounded by adoring Ukrainians giving thanks for their liberation !

Those Russians were scouting Odessa for the Russian marine landing tonight and had no idea where they were. And when they came under Ukrainian fire, they had no idea what to do. They left their 2 dead comrades behind And that last guy pooped his pant. You could see it.

The Ukrainians in Odessa are ready for the marine landing tonight at Kobleve beach. Russians haven’t even drilled night landings from the 6 six ships ever. The landing was supposed to be occupation, not offensive landing. This is plan D from Putin.

It makes me think Putin’s generals are reluctant to obey his orders.

Putin may want to see Kiev burning, but almost all Russians have some friends and family in the city.

His generals are doing the minimum to make it seem to him that they are enacting his plan to destroy Ukraine.

I think they expected to walk in and resistance fold, the way it did for Germany in WWII. They forgot countries folded for Germany because even then, Russia was the bigger threat.

It makes little sense to me. Perhaps Putin expected the Ukrainians to fold immediately. I anticipated a shock and awe campaign of armor and mechanized infantry after the country was technically blinded. Trying to do something like this half assed to curtail casualties usually backfires.

I think Putin was told by his generals that Ukraine would be a walkover. Looks like the Russians have their “General Milleys” too.
